GUEST BOOK

To the Sanders Family: I have just read the obituary for Maple in the Burlington Times-News. I hasten to express my heartfelt condolences. From that evening when I met Allen and Maple in the motel on Glebe Road in Washington, they were my great friends, and I appreciated them greatly. Allen was simply a great faculty member, and she was always there supporting and encouraging. My life was enriched by their presence and their encouragement. Know that I am thinking of you during these days. --Earl Danieley, President Emeritus, Elon University

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Mrs. Sanders was my 5th grade teacher at Andrews Elementary School in Burlington NC. She was truly one of my favorite teachers. She was so kind and set the example of what a great teacher should be. May you feel God's comfort during this time.

In 1966 at Maple Avenue Elementary School in Burlington, NC, I was a fifth grade student in the class of the most wonderful, caring and compassionate educator, Maple Sanders. The life lessons we learned were only surpassed by the passion and drive she had to help each of us be the best students possible. I am honored to say that I am a product of Maple Sanders. Blessing to the family and thank you for sharing her.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in the fond memories of your family member. It is comforting to know the Bible speaks of a time when “death will be no more” Rev 21:3,4.
